Offering teledermatology and in office visits

We are thrilled to be able to offer our patients teledermatology appointments during the COVID-19 pandemic. Appointments are conducted via live video, which can be done from most smart phones or computers with webcam capabilities.  We are currently using FaceTime, Duo, Doximity, or Doxy.me to meet our patients’ needs. Please contact the office to make an appointment 214-615-1888 x1

Patient FAQ

  • Does my insurance cover telemedicine? Most commercial payers, Medicare and Medicaid now cover telemedicine.

  • Can new patients see Dr. Wright & Dr. Allen via a virtual telederm visit? Yes.

  • Will this visit count towards my deductible? Yes.

  • Do I need to pay a copay? Yes, just the same as an office visit.

  • How do I pay my copay? Your copay or deductible will be collected at the beginning of your visit by you providing us with your credit card number.

  • How will I get my prescription? It will be e-faxed to your pharmacy.

  • What if I need a biopsy or other procedure? We continue to see patients in the office. If you need a procedure, we will schedule you for this in the physical office

  • What do I need to do before my appointment?  We need to make sure your medications, past history, and consent forms are signed before the start of your visit. You can access any handouts pertaining to your appointment on our portal, on our website, or we can email Docusign forms to you.

OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Our team here is committed to doing our part to minimize the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety of our patients and staff is of the utmost importance.

Please be assured, we are:

  • Have implemented additional layers of infection control for the protection of our patients and staff.

  • Following all governmental, American Academy of Dermatology, and CDC recommendations regarding the safety of our patients

Some of the changes you will see:

  • We have implemented virtual visits for the evaluation of non-urgent dermatologic complaints for both new and established patients.

  • If you are having symptoms of a fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, exposure to someone with COVID19, travel, or feeling ill, we ask you to call our office to postpone your appointment.

We encourage everyone in our community to take steps to minimize the spread of the virus by flattening the curve. Emerging information regarding this virus is updated regularly by the CDC.
